Business leaders step-up to help guide MSOE’s future

Dave Doerr, president, The Falk Corp., was elected one of three new members to the MSOE Board of Regents. The company is a world-leading manufacturer of industrial mechanical power transmission solutions. Doerr was named president of Falk in 2003, after more than 30 years with parent company Hamilton Sundstrand. He's held number of positions in manufacturing, sales, and operations at both Falk and Hamilton Sundstrand's aerospace operations in Rockford, Ill. His most recent position was vice president and general manager for construction products at Hamilton Sundstrand's Sullair Corp. Doerr holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Eastern Illinois University. He lives in Milwaukee.

Frank Jaehnert, president, CEO and director of Brady Corp., Milwaukee, was elected to the MSOE Board of Regents. Brady Corp. is an international manufacturer and marketer of identification and materials solutions. Prior to joining Brady in 1995, Jaehnert held various financial and management positions for Robert Bosch GmbH in both Germany and the United States. A native of Stuttgart, Germany, he holds the equivalent of a master of business administration degree from the University of Stuttgart, Germany. He lives in Ozaukee County with his wife and three children.

Craig Leipold was elected to the MSOE Board of Regents. He is CEO of Johnson Keland Management Inc., Racine, Wis., and owner chairman, governor of the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League. Leipold also formed Powers Management Corp., which manages and operates the Gaylord Entertainment Center in Nashville; is involved in running Leipold Restaurants in Racine; founded Ameritel Corp., a telemarketing firm; and was owner of Rainfair Corp., where he continues to serve on the board. He holds a bachelor of arts degree from Hendrix College. Leipold lives in Racine with his wife, Helen, and their five sons.
